Second day

All education in spiritual life should lead to ENJOYMENT OF GOD

Do I enjoy God?
Why do I or don't I?

Do I feel oppressed, overburdened?
What things oppress me?
Does religion oppress me?

Think and write about these questions (taking care not to go off the subject)

Read slowly Juan 8, 1011

CONSIDER - PRAY

Jesus never compromised his ideals:

To personal wellbeing.  He left his Mother.  Your life was austere "you did not have a place to rest your head", and characterised by a tiring rate of work "they had not even time to eat".

To human success. You didn't want them to make you king.  You asked them not to tell of your miracles.

To the regard of others:  You confronted the Pharisees.  You rebuked Pedro severely.  You said hard things that turned back many of your disciples.

You didn't condition your ideals to the satisfaction of seeing the fruits of your work:  You travelled from one place to another, without stopping to enjoy the good that you did.  In your life you had many human failures, culminating in the maximum human failure of the cross.

Consider, reflect and finish as every day
