God loves this world with its structures of sin and social corruption.
God desires us to live HIS PLANS FOR US HERE AND NOW
He has not abandoned us, in spite of the injustices, in spite of the poverty of the world, of the violence and murder.
God wants to carry out his plan of salvation:
Do I need saving? Do I wish to be saved? Do I need to be freed from something? Do I believe that all this can give meaning to my life?

Lord, help me to understand the importance of prayer.
Grant me "that" which makes of prayer an inescapable necessity;
That I should never deceive myself sacrificing prayer to daily activity.
A time of prayer, a time with You, Lord, can be of more value, even on a human level, than long hours of study or activity.
Lord, that my prayer should always be humble and simple
